COWON Introduces the New Flash PMP: 'COWON O2PMP' |

Seoul, October 9, 2008 - Nam-kyu Park, CEO of COWON SYSTEMS, Inc. (www.cowon.com) announced that COWON will launch a new Flash Memory-based lightweight and ultra mobile PMP called 'COWON O2PMP' on October 13th.
The COWON O2PMP is a light, convenient, and portable Flash PMP that comes with a 4.3-inch wide 1.6 mega pixel color LCD touch screen, a compact size of 119 mm (W) X 73 mm (H) X 18 mm (T), and weighs only approximately 200g.
The strong emphasis on a digital accessory mystique is achieved by applying a minimalist modern design built around the wide and convenient LCD screen which has eliminated unnecessary control elements.
Equipped with the innovative DaVinci chipset, which boasts maximum codec support, the COWON O2PMP supports almost every codec available today, including the next generation H.26 codec. It can also play HD videos up to 1280x720 without any extra encoding, depending on the format.
Above all, by adopting lightweight, shock-resistant Flash Memory for the main storage, the COWON O2PMP provides excellent stability and mobility, and it offers much faster booting and response speeds compared to conventional HDD-based PMPs, providing a noiseless, optimal multimedia play environment.
The built-in battery can play videos for up to 8 hours, and music for up to 18 hours. Users can freely expand the storage capacity by using the SD card slot.
The COWON O2PMP also offers various additional functions, including: ground wave DMB and DAB reception, voice recording, image viewing, notepad, and engineering calculator.
As a useful study tool, YBM Sisa's 'e4u' English-Korean/Korean-English electronic dictionary is provided by default, and users can purchase various other electronic dictionaries such as Sisa's Elite Japanese or Chinese dictionaries, and Chambers 21st Century Dictionary.

The 'COWON O2PMP' will be introduced in three colors (white/black/pink) with 3 different package options: Standard, DMB, and DIC (Electronic Dictionary).
