The COWON S9 incorporates high quality 3.3-inch AMOLED display with 16 million colors that reproduces video richly and vividly. Thanks to its organic light emitting diode, the display is viewable from virtually any angle and looks great in the dark and even in direct sunlight. AMOLED turns electric signals into video 1,000 times faster than the speed of conventional LCDs, leaving no ghost images while playing motion pictures. Furthermore, the COWON S9 incorporates TV-OUT and supports more video and subtitle formats than ordinary PMPs, making it ideal for watching movies with realistic picture quality. BBE+ is optimized for portable media devices and is making its worldwide debut on the COWON S9. BBE+ brings the same more natural sound that professional studios around the world use with existing BBE audio technology. In addition, the COWON S9 features new BBE+ powered JetEffect 2.0 audio settings to deliver superior content playback, and bring a natural “live” presence to any sound source with 30 rich sound stages including BBE ViVA, BBE Headphone, Hiphop, and Hall. Cowon has won several Good Design awards from the Korea Institute of Design Promotion for its stylish and ergonomic designs. The Cowon S9 body has a curved back and water drop shaped sides that fit comfortably in your hand. The front design incorporates a display with a minimized bezel while the touch screen translates static electricity from your hand into movement gestures on the screen, all showing a harmonic blend of practicality and stylishness. New features and convenient user interfaces make using the Cowon S9 a simple pleasure. Some include the ‘Zoom UI’ that allows you to freely control the size of images and text with your fingertip and a ‘Video Clip Preview’ that enables play back of any portion of video, dramatically enhancing the user experience. The COWON S9 also adopts more of the latest technologies such as its dual-core CPU, G-sensor, blue-tooth, and full UCI.
