(CEO Nam-kyu Park, www.cowon.com) will be releasing the world's first no-eyewear 3D portable media player (PMP), 'COWON 3D', on the 10th of this coming December. In step with the increasing interest and demand for 3D contents around the world, Cowon has been consistently pouring into the internal research of mobile 3D devices. Based on the accumulated technological know-how, Cowon is about to introduce the world-first, no-eyewear 3D PMP. 'COWON 3D' comes equipped with a special 3D display panel which allows the viewing of 3D videos and images without separate eyewear - the first PMP in the world with no-eyewear 3D technology. With the conventional eyewear-type 3D products, customers who typically wear glasses had to put on the special eyewear on top of their glasses in order to view 3D contents. With 'COWON 3D', however, 3D videos and images can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere, without the need for special eyewear. As well, keeping in mind that a given image can have different stereoscope depending on the sequence of output due to the nature of 3D contents in which two images are shown in layers, 'COWON 3D' comes with the option to switch the order of left-right output. In keeping with the 3D nature of the product, the icons on the menu are also created in realistic 3D images, thus increasing the fun in using the product. Also, a simple change in the settings can convert the main screen into 2D, allowing the users to select their interface freely depending on their preference. Furthermore, 'COWON 3D' comes with all the features of Cowon's premium PMPs. The high-resolution (800 x 480) 4.8' LCD screen with 1.6 million colors provides a large and refreshing viewing area, and, with the Full HD image playback feature that handles up to 1920 x 1080p, as well as the HDMI output that allows the viewing of the realistic contents on a large screen, customers can view any kind of images in a way they prefer. Also, customers can freely enjoy what the internet has to offer in the optimal web-browsing environment through Wi-Fi connectivity and the dual-browser system with Opera and uZard Web. Moreover, 'COWON 3D' comes equipped with the realistic sound field, JefEffect 3.0, based on Cowon's very own BBE+, and boasts ample playback time of 10 hours for video and 45 hours for music.
