Wednesday Sept. 19, 2001- COWON SYSTEMS, Inc. (CEO: Park Nam-gyu, www.COWON.com) has been reborn as a global integrated company for multimedia solutions by making new corporation identity (CI) and reorganizing its corporate homepage thoroughly for the first time ever since its establishment.

The reason for forging a new CI was to build the image of the future-oriented `advanced digital audio specialized company' while achieving a new reputation in its attempt to expand its business to the new field of portable MP3 players with its `iAudio' product. COWON is also pushing ahead with `the wireless-Internet multimedia content & solutions.' Its U.S. subsidiary JetAudio Inc. is in charge of the development of `JetAudio and the entertainment portal.

The new CI involves the name of COWON that has been transformed into its logo. The word mark is the most important symbol as a visual communications element with the name of the company (success) and the image of the company (symbolization) that are maximized.

Concept
The motive of the design is a music source fitted to the image of the company, whose specialty is digital audio. So it gives a form to the image that is a spreading pure sound. And the logo is also designed to attract attention as the growing venture company that has concordant management (Concord), the capacity of social contribution (Contribution) and challenge. Notably, the two lines in the word mark mean growth and expansion. And these two lines combine the gothic bold font that strongly impresses people by highlighting the image as a warm-hearted company as well as a secure and strong company.

Color System
Blue, COWON's identity color, is the most suitable color for COWON's image including customer satisfaction, challenge, creativity, reliability, etc. Using blue with CI's visual form with a word mark style makes the company name instantly recognized.


Also, COWON completely reorganized the homepage (www.COWON.com) to better communicate with investors, a major overhaul since its establishment in 1995.

This new homepage has six categories such as `about COWON', `COWON news', `product info', `download', `customer service', `e-store' in a bid to help site visitors browse easily and conveniently COWON's business, management, purchase, customer service, and other detailed information.

In `about COWON', overview, management ideals, business scope, company structure, and investment relations (IR) are explained in detail. The section shows COWON's strong will to be a company on which customers can rely. It is notable that `investment relations (IR)' section is designed to help customers and investors clearly grasp the earnings results and up-to-date performances by showing them in clear and simple graphics.

The `COWON news' section, meantime, covers the internal and external perspectives about COWON by offering brief, in-depth and feature news related to the company. The items include company news, announcement, articles, and career news.

In `products info', the detailed information of all products -- digital audio, digital video, digital voice and wireless-Internet -- are explained. Especially for digital audio products, the key products, the information of the characteristics, awards, and purchase are provided with detailed summaries on the wireless-Internet and other advanced businesses.

In `download', COWON's various software programs and patches are downloadable. Visitors can access manuals of major products. And various JetAudio UIBs (User Interface Bitmap) can be made and uploaded for personal use. Customers can request the after-sales service and review COWON's products directly on the homepage in order to get fast services. And in the `e-store' section, visitors can order and purchase iRemocon, iRadio, memory card, power recharger set as well as JetAudio and iAudio directly from COWON without an extra delivery cost.
Future Plan

COWON plans to open a new homepage in English in the near future, which is under construction. COWON's U.S. subsidiary JetAudio Inc., which was established in Silicon Valley last September, is set to take charge of promotions and marketing activities for JetAudio.com (www.jetaudio.com), an entertainment portal site for the American market.
