COWON’s HD PMP ‘COWON V5’ wins Russia’s Product of the Year award |

May 6, 2010, Seoul – COWON Systems (CEO Nam-Kyu Park, www.cowon.com) announced that its HD PMP ‘COWON V5’ won Russia's ‘Product of the Year 2010’.
An award given to the top product in Russia in fact as well as in name, the winner of the ‘Product of the Year 2010’ is selected during Russia’s largest electronics exhibition, the HDI Show, through a direct assessment of candidate products by an evaluation team comprised of editors and experts from electronics media.
This year, the top product was selected for each category of electronic products during the HDI Show held from April 15 to 18. Among all the MP3 players and PMP products from around the globe, ‘COWON V5’ received the highest rating in the mobile/digital product class and was selected the Best Portable Multimedia Player.
With the receiving of the award, ‘COWON V5’ was displayed in the main area of the exhibition during the exhibition period as the Product of the Year, along with the official promotional material. As well, the product was introduced on the Russian TV network and on the major media through the official award ceremony, later to be displayed and sold on the major offline markets in Russia with the ‘Product of the Year 2010’ mark.
Moreover, since the winning of the ‘2010 Red Dot Design Award’ – one of the three global major design awards – last March, ‘COWON V5’ has proven its competitive edge on the global market with 'Product of the Year 2010’ in performance as well as design.
“Cowon PMPs are receiving favorable responses on the Europe-centered global market,” said Cowon’s vice president, Myeong-Yong Lee. “Since the competitive edge of our products is being widely recognized on foreign markets, we plan to increase the PMP export ratio this year through aggressive marketing.” |
