It is one of the most influential IT magazines in Europe with more than 10 million subscribers. In a professional evaluation on MP3 players, ‘CHIP’ announced that ‘COWON J3’ took the first place, surpassing the ‘iPod Touch 4G’. In this evaluation which includes all prominent MP3 players from companies such as Apple and Samsung as well as Cowon, the 32 GB model of ‘COWON J3’ received the top comprehensive evaluation score, winning the first place. As well, with the 8 GB model taking the second place, ‘COWON J3’ was recognized, in deed as well as in name, the best MP3 player. The evaluation by ‘CHIP’ was carried out through precision testing on five categories of performance, portability, design, audio quality, and customer convenience. With the comprehensive evaluation score of 94, ‘COWON J3’ was selected as the top product, greatly surpassing ‘iPod Touch 4G’ which was only ranked in the third place. By manufacturer, Cowon had four products included in the Top 10, with ‘COWON J3’ (1st and 2nd), ‘COWON S9’ (7th) and ‘COWON D2+' (9th).
