Subject Japanese Consumers Choose COWON MP3 Players Top Products 3 Years in a Row Date 2012.02.15
Japanese consumers have chosen COWON’s MP3 players top products three years in a row.

COWON Systems (CEO Nam-Gyu Park, www.cowon.com) announced that three of its MP3 players – ‘iAUDIO 10’, ‘COWON C2’ and COWON D3’ – have been awarded the ‘2011 Product Award’ by Japan’s largest price comparison site, Kakaku.com (www.kakaku.com).

Kakaku.com, Japan’s largest price comparison site with over ten million visitors every month, awards the annual ‘Product Award’ based on consumer reviews.

‘2011 Product Award’ took into account 14 million reviews posted by consumers last year, and selected top products in seven categories – including computers, AV, household electronics, cameras – and a total of 94 product series.

COWON’s ‘iAUDIO 10’ received the Silver Award in the MP3 Player category, with ‘COWON C2’ and ‘COWON D3’ receiving the Silver and the Bronze Awards respectively in the Portable AV Players category.

Reviews from Japanese consumers on these products are quite favorable, as well.

‘Not a product that you listen to music with, but a product that you enjoy music with.’ ‘A product that satisfies design, sound quality, battery life, and expansion capacity all at once.’ A high level of customer satisfaction led to these awards.

Since the winning of the Top Product awards in 2009 with ‘iAUDIO 9’ and ‘COWON S9’, and in 2010 with ‘COWON J3’ and ‘COWON V5’, COWON has now won Top Product awards three consecutive years in the Japanese market.

“In the Japanese market where global companies such as Sony and Apple are competing, COWON is maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with product quality that is unique to a specialized enterprise,” said COWON’s Marketing Senior Director Gi-Woong Yi. “With outstanding realistic sound field and product quality, we will go beyond the Japanese market and continue to expand our place in advanced overseas markets such as in the Americas and Europe.”
