Subject COWON, 30 Frame REAL HD Black Box ‘Auto Capsule AK1’ Launched Date 2015.02.04
COWON Systems (CEO, Nam Gyu Park, www.cowon.com) announced launch of the high-resolution HD Black Box ‘Auto Capsule AK1’ (herein referred to as ‘AK1’) on February 2nd.
AK1 is a highly efficient one channel car black box, that is capable of distortion-free wide view video recording through its crystal clear 1280x720 REAL HD, 30FPS video recording, and 110° view angle.
It is also equipped with a high quality lens and one million pixel-hypersensitive CMOS image sensor for capturing vivid video images even during night times or rainy conditions. AK1 records at 16:9 wide view display.
It has a built in super-capacitor to guarantee the storage of the full video recording under unstable circumstances, such as power failures caused by car accidents. Furthermore, its tri-axis shock-detection sensor provides efficient recording upon impacts while driving. This sensor also acts as a motion sensor to detect movement in the front of the vehicle when parking.
It is equipped with useful subsidiary features too, such as convenient audio guidance that informs driver about device’s operational status, high quality voice recording, highly sensitive external GPS for vehicle’s location and velocity information, and automatic battery discharge prevention feature. Especially, the three control buttons on the rear side of the unit is a visible advantage; the three buttons provide easy control of power and audio recording, plus self-format. AK1 comes with an exclusive PC manager that allows users to view recordings, acceleration graph, location, velocity and other information at a single glance. Various sensor sensitivities can be easily configured as well with the PC manager program.
AK1’s simple design and modern mystic silver color get along with interiors of any vehicles. Finely engraved surroundings of its lens maximize LED effect. Operational status LED makes itself known, especially at night times, to keep the vehicle safe.
COWON’s CEO, Nam Gyu Park stated, “AK1 is an one channel unit though, it is efficient enough with core and subsidiary features”. He also added, “There is no doubt that AK1 will satisfy consumers who value practicality as it is designed to meet their needs.”
