COWON, which has developed its own original technology in the multimedia field including MP3, started an MOD (music on demand) business that is the advanced digital sound source project by signing an exclusive contract for the domestic Audio/Broadcasting MOD project with SK Telecom, a top mobile service provider in South Korea.
COWON is going to work as a content provider of Audio/Broadcasting MOD project of the n.Top service of SK Telecom.
MOD allows user to download audio files such as MP3 songs whenever they want, into their own mobile handsets for personal use. It is the MOD server that routes the source files to individual users through the wireless Internet network.
