COWON SYSTEMS (CEO Park Nam-Gyu, www.cowon.com), the leading digital device and contents company, announced that its MP3 player iAUDIO U3 was chosen as the best MP3 player in 2006 by Marriv, one of Israel's two largest daily newspapers.
One of COWON's bestsellers, iAUDIO U3, received higher marks than its competitors including Samsung Yepp and Apple iPod in key areas such as compact and lightweight design, high resolution video playback, undistorted sound even at high volumes, and user convenience. In particular, the fact that iAUDIO U3 supports Hebrew brought higher customer satisfaction and appears to have played a positive role in winning a competitive edge for the iAUDIO U3.
COWON said, 'As a result of our active international market development, our business in the Middle East, which was previously barren, is gradually getting on the right track. This year, we expect that our exports to major countries in the region including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Kuwait will reach over 5,000 units per month.'
