Subject COWON Signs Export Agreement for 16 Million Dollars Date 2006.05.16
The digital device and contents leader COWON SYSTEMS (CEO Park Nam-Gyu, www.cowon.com) announced that it concluded an agreement with DIGITALMUNDO, a distributor in Chile and Peru to export its MP3 and PMP products worth 16 million dollars over the next 2 years.

This export agreement marks a great success in its development of the Latin American market that Cowon has steadily promoted in its endeavor to expand into new markets. Considering the market size of Latin America, the value of this agreement is regarded as a considerable achievement. In particular, Cowon has maintained the number 1 market share in Chile, outrunning Apple and Samsung.

As a result of this large-scale agreement for Latin America in addition to others in Russia and Europe since last February, Cowon has more firmly consolidated its leadership as a global brand in markets worldwide.

CEO Park Nam-Gyu of COWON said, 'This export agreement will allow Cowon to be firmly established as a reliable brand in Latin America. We will continue to strengthen our status as a market leader in Latin America based on our brand reliability.'
