COWON launches car navigation 'COWON N2' |

COWON SYSTEMS (CEO Nam-Gyu Park, www.cowon.com) announced its scheduled release of its new car navigation device, the 'COWON N2' on Oct. 23.
The soon-to-be released 'COWON N2' provides up-to-date road information with embedded 'Mando Mappy' from Mando Map & Soft, a company specialized in the highest-quality maps in Korea. It also supports free reception of above-the-ground wave DMB broadcast and powerful multi-media features.
COWON N2's slim, attractive cobalt and silver frame will enhance the interior of any car. The ultra-wide angle 7' LCD provides clear picture quality while driving.
An easy-to-use touch-screen controls all features for safe use during driving, while overlay and multitasking features allow map and DMB viewing over movie screens simultaneously to enhance users' convenience.
In addition, 'COWON N2' uses the high spec AMD 500MHz CPU to provide fast path guidance and clear picture quality for DMB and movie playback; it also uses a dedicated GPS chip with the highest specifications to receive accurate map information fast.
2 SD card slots and USB host support allow users to play, move and copy multimedia files to SD card, external hard disks, MP3P, PMP, and other storage mediums; a variety of input/output terminals are used to connect all manner of AV devices.
The built-in FM transmitter can be listened to through car audio systems, while the rear-view camera (optional) can be fitted to the car to allow drivers a rear-view when the car is put in reverse for safe driving.
Up-to-date map and continuous firmware upgrades are available at COWON.com and complete customer service is provided through COWON's 70 service centers around the country.
COWON N2 also sports MP3 features with COWON's unique realistic sound field, BBE sound, movie viewing features for various formats such as Xvid, WMV, MPEG4, and picture viewing features with 5X zoom/rotation/slide show as default. The high-end device is expected to present a new standard for automotive consolidated entertainment devices; this product is based on digital multimedia technologies that Cowon has accumulated and will become a foundation for growing new digital device business. |
