Subject COWON MP3P Selected as Readers' Choice by PC Magazine in US Date 2006.10.12
COWON SYSTEMS (CEO Nam-Gyu Park, www.cowon.com) announced that its MP3 player was chosen as a recommended product by PC Magazine readers, the leading US computer magazine.

According to scores given by PC Magazine readers for MP3 players, Cowon received 8.3 out of 10, and was the only score above 8 excepting Apple, showing yet again that reader satisfaction with Cowon products is higher than that of other competing products.

Following Apple (8.4) and Cowon (8.3), rankings for product satisfaction included Arcos (7.8), Creative (7.7), iRiver (7.6), SanDisk (7.4) and Samsung (7.3).

Despite COWON's coming in second, PC Magazine wasn't bashful in showing their admiration for Cowon over Apple, well known for the iPod and that took first place. PC Magazine commented that even though the Cowon name was not yet as familiar, COWON stands as a Korean multimedia giant.

Cowon received equally high marks in 'intention to recommend' scores, sound quality, user convenience, and product stability. In particular, and in perhaps the most important category, the Cowon MP3P received a 9.0 for sound quality, the highest of any player.

CEO Nam-Gyu Park said, 'It is very encouraging that our product satisfaction is high among US consumers where standards are high. This will provide us with a good opportunity to reinforce our position as a high-quality global brand.'
