Subject COWON Indonesia, Email ASP Business Service to Telkom Date 2007.03.07
COWON SYSTEMS (CEO Park Namkyu, www.cowon.com) announced that COWON Indonesia (CEO Lee Seongdeuk) signed a contract to provide email business operations and applications for www.plasa.coma and www.telkom.net, both TELKOM portal sites, a state operated telecommunications company (official name: PT.Telekomuikasi Indonesia) along with their local partner Namu Solutions Indonesia (CEO: Kim Heeyoung).

COWON Indonesia offer additional email services including background music, emoticons, and letter pads to local customers using the Telkom Internet services, and based on this contract, they will be taking on a core role both in the operation of such services as well as development of new businesses in the future.

Initial sales of about 500 million won are expected during the first 2 years through sales dividends from the email ASP business, which brings the estimate to a total of over 3.5 billion won in local sales over the next two years when including the mini-home page business signed with Telkom last February.

COWON's CEO Park Namkyu said, 'We will invigorate the local online businesses in Indonesia in partnership with Telkom based on our domestic business background,'and continued, 'As visible results can be expected, we will lead the market by actively localizing wired/wireless business items that can serve as growth engines.'

Telkom is a state run telecommunications monopoly with top sales and assets in Indonesia, providing wired communications services as well as wireless communications services to over 36 million subscribers. Telkom also operates the nations'top Internet portal business with 5 million subscribers out of the 20 million Internet users in Indonesia
