COWON to Participate in IFA Berlin and GITEX Dubai |

August 27, 2007, Seoul - Cowon Systems (CEO Nam-Gyu Park, www.cowon.com) will participate in IFA (International Audio and Video Fair) 2007 in Berlin, Germany from August 31 to September 5, and then at GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) 2007 in Dubai, UAE from September 8 to 12.
In these exhibitions, Cowon will showcase seven products including the recently released premium PMP 'COWON Q5' the extreme PMP 'COWON A3,' slated for release in September, their premium MP3 player, 'COWON D2' that is highly popular in international markets, and the slim MP3 player iAUDIO U5.
The extreme PMP 'COWON A3' supports various video codecs with its embedded DaVinci chipset, and provides best-in-class video playback functionality with its HD-class (1280 x 720) high-resolution image quality. Furthermore, COWON A3 supports the mobile TV format DVB-T which covers most European countries using an external module and is the first of its kind in Korea.
Premiering at IFA, iAUDIO U5 is a slim MP3 player with an 1.8 inch LCD, and is expected to gain popularity in export markets due to its highly competitive price.
The IFA 2007 is the world's largest consumer electronics exhibition with 300,000 average daily visitors and over 1,500 companies participating from around the world. Cowon plans to use this exhibition as an opportunity to reinforce their brand position and secure a foothold in the European market.
Meanwhile, at GITEX, one of the world's top three exhibitions with over 1,200 companies from over 60 countries participating, Cowon will promote their advanced technology through a wide variety of product lineup and actively engage in consulting with many buyers as they did last year.
In particular, Dubai plays the role of a bridgehead for the Middle Eastern multimedia industry. Cowon has been conducting active marketing activities in Dubai since 2005 to expand their market share in the Middle East.
